Innovations that positively impact dry bulk handling outlined at Brazilian seminar

A recent one-day conference in São Paulo, Brazil’s industrial hub, has showcased how technological R&D translates into the creation of innovative products that positively impact the dry bulk handling market. Over twenty of Bruks Siwertell’s customers from all over Brazil attended the dry bulk handling seminar, hosted at the Blue Tree Premium Faria Lima Hotel, on 20th May.

One of the focal points of the conference was the introduction of Bruks Siwertell’s newest innovation, ‘The Belt Conveyor™’. Combing unique air-cushion technology with its standard belt conveyor, the new system eliminates the use of traditional idlers to provide an extremely efficient high-capacity, low-friction conveying line with minimal wear and low operating costs.

Customer dialogues are key

Other topics spanned a wide range of applications, including new products and innovations, maintenance and through-life services and the investment and operational costs of different unloading technologies.

Participants took part in discussions and presentations led by Bruks Siwertell representatives, including Magnus Rundqwist, Bruks Sales Manager, Jonas Andersson, Siwertell Technical Director, Patrik Henryson, Siwertell Sales Manager, Daniel Frostberg, Siwertell Service Director and Juha Huovilainen, Siwertell Sales Director.

Strong presence in Brazil

“We have a strong and successful presence in North and South America, particularly in Brazil, where Siwertell technology serves various coal and agri-bulk terminals throughout the country,” Mr Huovilainen notes. “The seminar provided a great opportunity to further enhance dialogues with our customers from these various regions, as well as a platform to demonstrate our advances in equipment technology.”

The joint opening address was made by Mr Huovilainen and Leonardo Lemgruber, Siwertell Sales Representative, Brazil, followed by presentations by Mr Henryson and Mr Rundqwist, both of whom were given the opportunity to discuss the products and services offered by each brand, including Bruks’ leading solutions in dry bulk processing and handling and Siwertell’s proven capabilities within ship unloading and loading. Presentations on port technology equipment were also delivered.
