Operator training  programs

Bruks Siwertell carries out customized operator training programs for Siwertell ship unloaders. The main purpose of these programs is to train personnel to operate a ship unloader in a safe, qualified way to ensure peak unloading efficiency and extend equipment service life. They also aim to smooth and improve start-up procedures, minimizing the time it takes to bring equipment online.

In the long-term, the efficiency and condition of a ship unloader depends on how well the user operates and maintains it. The position and operating angles of the vertical conveyor arms, unloading schedules, use of final-stage clean-up vehicles and troubleshooting, all have an impact on an unloader’s efficiency and condition.

Description

To deliver a broad knowledge base, the programs consist of both theoretical classroom-based learning and practical hands-on training on site. They focus on operator training, but also cover topics such as mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and lubrication system overviews, and troubleshooting. In all areas of training, safety is a key concern and is discussed throughout our programs.

Main content: Mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and lubrication system overviews, Unloader handling, vertical arm position and working angles, Unloading methods and patterns, Final-stage unloading efficiency using front loaders or equivalent earth moving vehicles, Effective through-ship unloading from start to finish, and final clean-up, Safety training,

Troubleshooting. Our customer training managers are selected for their product knowledge and teaching experience. Typically, a Siwertell unloader training program is conducted over five days and the optimal group size is up to eight trainees. Training manuals for use during the program are customized specifically for each project.
