Bruks Siwertell has secured an order for a next-generation Siwertell 10 000 S road-mobile ship unloader from South Korean operator, Incheon Northport Multipurpose Terminal. It will deliver environment-friendly cement handling and also ensure flexible, efficient operations at one of South Korea’s most important ports.
“Incheon Northport’s decision to invest in Siwertell road-mobile unloader technology reflects its strong reputation in the market,” says Jörgen Ojeda, Sales Director Mobile Unloaders, Bruks Siwertell. “Siwertell road-mobile ship unloaders have an excellent track-record for reliability and offer an agile, efficient solution to dry bulk handlers.
“Road-mobile systems have demonstrated their excellent cement handling capabilities across numerous installations worldwide, and we are confident that this unit will deliver outstanding performance in South Korea as well,” Ojeda continues. “This is a strategic installation, and Bruks Siwertell looks forward to supporting the region’s growing infrastructure demands.”
The Siwertell 10 000 S road-mobile model offers a rated cement handling capacity of 300t/h and can discharge vessels up to 10,000 dwt. Siwertell unloaders are able to deliver consistently high through-ship efficiencies, while eliminating spillage and ensuring minimal dust emissions and environmental impact. Next-generation models also feature innovative digital solutions, enabling remote monitoring and service support.
“These factors are crucial for terminals like Incheon Northport, which is looking to optimize its operations while maintaining strict environmental standards,” he adds. “Furthermore, this order could represent a breakthrough in the South Korean cement import market. We are hopeful that the successful deployment of this ship unloader will encourage other potential customers in the region to adopt Siwertell technology for their bulk handling needs as well.”
The Siwertell 10 000 S unit is planned for delivery and commissioning towards the end of 2024, helping Incheon Northport Multipurpose Terminal set a benchmark for cement handling efficiency and sustainability.
