Contract Manager, Bjuv/Siwertell - Sweden
We are now extending our organization and looking for an additional committed and competent Contract Manager to join our team.
The job
We have a great opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated Contract Manager. Positioned in the center of customer projects, you will lead your team, in a collaborative approach, to develop and deliver a program of activities that fulfils all contractual matters, including finance, scheduling and engineering.
Drawing on a strong understanding of commercial operations and dry bulk handling technology, your skills will provide a firm foundation for liaising with customers and project team members, and other supporting departments within the company. On a daily basis, you will participate in different forums and take part in decision-making processes including, but not limited to, commercial, technical and product functionality. You will also be expected to undertake tasks from negotiating with clients and suppliers, planning and discussing technicalities in complex shipments, through to writing concise instructions for field work and booking travel arrangements.
Together with managers from a range of departments, you will be responsible for making sure that your customer projects are properly resourced. This includes reviewing all contract and associated documentation to ensure delivery parameters are clear, robust, complete and adhered to.
You will manage and communicate the flow of project information between the team and customers, as well as providing and writing a range of regular external and internal reports, including those to the finance department. Our customer projects are processed according to written instructions and routines; however, each project is unique and requires tailored management.
Risk management and budget planning, including handling of various bank documentation, for example, documentary credits, are also part of the role.
Qualifications
Ideally, you will be qualified to degree level, with an engineering discipline. You should have a genuine interest in engineering and commercial operations, as well as great relationship-building skills. Your way of working is characterized by structure and curiosity. The position is a key point of contact for both internal and external personnel, therefore your communication strengths are essential. You should be fluent, both in a verbal and written capacity, in English and Swedish.
